Oceanside

Jon and I took a small weekend trip 2 weeks ago. We went to Oceanside, CA, it was fun. We had a nice relaxing few days at the beach. Our Hotel was 4 blocks from the beach, and easy to walk too.  The first night we where there we walked down to the beach, then walked a good mile just to enjoy the sights.  We went back  to get something to eat.  We where in the mood for Pizza.  There was a little Italian place not far so we went there.  IT WAS DELICIOUS! It was ran by an Italian family. It was the best Pizza ever, YUM.  We then decided to try and make the sunset and walked back to the beach.  We caught the end of it. We then walked over to the Pier and walked down to the end of it. People were fishing, (and yes it stunk).  There was 4 or 5 different ethnic groups, it was interesting to see.  By the end of the Pier we took a trip around the world.

The next morning Jon enjoyed a around of Golf at Goat Hill. He found out that they called it that because it was very hilly, so if you didn't hit it right your ball would just roll, and keep going.  He said it was fun though.  As he enjoyed his round of golf, I went to the Harbor and enjoyed some Ice Cream.  The Harbor was nice.  There were a few shops and was nice and relaxing.

That afternoon we enjoyed a day at the beach.  We relaxed and played frizbee most the day.  We then enjoyed a nice  beautiful sunset and called it a day.

The next day we went to the Harbor and the beach on that side for a few hours.  We then finished off our trip with lunch at Ruby's Diner, at the end of the Pier. We were told that we had to have a shake. They were really good. Jon had an Oreo, and I had a Turtle shake, yum yum!
We had a nice trip and the drive wasn't to bad.  We missed the boys and were ready to see them. Stephanie watched them for us while we were gone. She had to work that day, so Boys will be Boys.  They had a surprise waiting for us when we got home.  It had rained that day, and they took advantage of it. They had mud all over the floor, and yes that is how we found the rug, all torn up.

GOTTA  LOVE'EM!!!

The Boys

"The Boys" were born on April 21, 2010. Jonathan had been wanting to get French Bull Dogs, he casually looked for sometime. He also looked at French Bull Dog mixes. That is how we found "The Boys" they are a French Bull Dog/ Pug mix.  We went to Buckeye to check them out, and how could we turn them down.  They were the most cutest creatures ever!!!  These are pictures of the day we brought them home. It's amazing how much they have grown up (and wrinkled) since them.

This is Jacques.  He is the leader for sure. He loves to steal whatever Pierre is playing with. Lately I have been calling him Mr. Jello, cuz he gets Jealous of everything. The funny thing is he howls when he wants something (or when Pierre is barking at him). He definitely is the Jock, he wants to play all the time.  He recently learned how to jump onto the couch though, and mark his territory.  Which means I have had to wash the sofa covers several times.  He is very funny though, and gets hyper and runs around the room allot.

This is Pierre.  He was the runt, but has quickly caught up to Jacques's size. He is the moody one.  He plops down on the floor and looks at you with the worst puppy eyes when he doesn't get what he wants. He loves to cuddle though, I call him Mr. Cuddles.  He loves to sleep when Jacques is not sitting on him, (cuz he wants to play). He seems to be the most  innocent of the two, but teases Jacques plenty. He loves to bark to get Jacques's attention, which makes Jacques howl.

They are definitely a handful sometimes, and have gotten into plenty of trouble. We can't help from loving them though, they are too adorable!

The SURPRISE!!!!!!!

So the best part of the 4th of July weekend was... Jon and I had a surprise.  I thought it would be nice to have some fun with it.  I made a "4th of July" card with a surprise inside.  We showed it to my parents 1st.  Then we left it on the stove in the livingroom, and it was fun to see who would figure it out.

Grandma Pearl

One of my most favorite things to do when I was younger was to go to Grandma Pearl's.  She lived just down the hill.  Mom knew if we weren't at home we where at Grandma's.  Grandma Pearl pasted away on May 27, 2010 at the age of 90.  She will be missed for sure, but never forgotten. My favorite things I remember about growing up at Grandma's is... working in the garden, irrigation early in the morning, picking strawberries, pulling weeds(lots of them), canning, playing steal the flag, and kick the can with cousins, watching Family Feud, Jeopardy, the News, and The Music Man on VHS. Last but not least making Christmas Sugar Cookies, homemade Lemonade with real mint, and that delicious homemade Macaroni and Cheese w/Sharp Cheddar.  Love You Grandma Pearl!!!

Leaf me alone... NOT!!!

We had a fun day up home in Taylor.

Who can resist a good pile of leaves.

Did it get out of hand?

 I don't know maybe so HEE HEE :0) !!!

The Costume

So David has always wanted to be an Oompa Loompa for Halloween.  I decided to surprise him and make him his very own Oompa Loompa Costume.  It was fun to make and if I must say so turned out pretty well.

Mugzy

Jon and I had the opportunity to keep Mugzy for a few weeks. (Travis and Cori's Dog)  He was fun to have around cuz I was trying to convince Jon that we need a dog.  Every time I came home from work he would go crazy and run around and jump for 10 minutes.  When we took him back I couldn't resist returning him with the cutest Halloween costume ever.

Camping Fun!!!

Last summer we went on a family camping trip and had a lot of fun.
I could tell you more about it, but I think the pictures will say enough.

Tree Bucking, Giddee up!!

Priceless

I don't know why but there is something about this photo that screams postcard!!!  I just had to have a picture of it!

Las Vegas Baby!!

We had our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary of Jan 22, 2010.  We decided that we wanted to do something fun.  So why not go to Vegas.  Jonathan had never been, and I knew it would be a place that we would enjoy.  We stayed at the Monte Carlo, which was beautiful and still affordable. Like most vacations there was a few hiccups. The whole time we where there it rained. It wasn't to bad... but at night it made it chilly.  We stayed for 3 days, and I think we walked the Strip everyday.

The first day we saw a lot and were heading back to the hotel when we stopped at the Bellagio to take some photos.  Well it had been raining all day and when I handed Jon the camera it was slick and fell on the concrete with a thud.  Yes you guessed it, the camera broke.  So the first day we were out a camera.
Lucky for us a local Target wasn't far so we got a new camera.

Later that night, exhausted we went to go see Mystque!  It was AWESOME!!!  It's amazing what Acrobats can do.  Some of the show was weird, but worth it.  We enjoyed the rest of the trip. We saw almost every free attraction, and hotel on the Strip. It was fun, and surprisingly nice and relaxing.

The Circus

So now the fun will begin. I thought I would post somethings that we did over the last year
(just so my blog wouldn't be so boring). HEE HEE!!!

Something I've always wanted to do was take my Nephews Braiden, Devrin, and Niece Cierra to the Circus.  So just over a year ago we went.  I LOVED IT!!! They seemed to have fun too.  My favorite part was before the circus you got to meet the Clowns and they did some act up close.  They had a Rubber wall up and brought the Elephants out up close.  The kids were feet away from them, and it was awesome to watch their faces.

Hello

So I finally decided to conquer the world of blogging.  Never thought I would have much to say or to blog about... so here we go!  Just a quick history lesson.  Jonathan and I meet in 2001 working at the lovely store of Wal-Mart where we both worked.  Dated 4yrs, and finally decided it was time to get married.  We had a cute little Winter Wonderland wedding on Jan 22, 2005 in Snowflake, AZ at the Social Hall.  We lived in Mesa, Az for the next 3yrs while Jon worked on getting into a fire dept.  He was hired by Rural/Metro Fire were he worked for over a year.  We then heard from Casa Grande Fire and he went through another academy.  We decided it was a perfect time to start looking for a home in Casa Grande.  Took us 4 months to finally find a home that we loved.  It took us several weeks to make some updates.  Including taking down wallpaper in the WHOLE Kitchen and 2nd Bath.  Pulled up the carpet, painted and put in a wood floor (which was worth it). We made the move last April and here we are living a very simple life in CG.  The End :0)
